Coming from London, living under constant grey skies, visiting Africa is always a treat for us.
Going on safaris is a must when we travel in this wild continent. Black Rhino Game Reserve was our choice this time around.
We opted for night drives during our recent stay at Black Rhino Game Reserve as there is just something special about venturing off into the dark African night. The bush comes alive when the stars come out.
As we started adding layers of warm clothing, the excitement about possible sightings started to build. Perhaps we will spot lions hunting or will we be lucky enough to see bush babies playfully jumping between branches?
We were so fortunate to have a close encounter with a male lion, came across a pride of young female just laying around, rhino, a bush baby and even the heartwarming social interaction of an elephant! The sightings were awesome. There were never a dull moment on the game drives; we never knew what bush experience awaits around the next corner of the track!
Luckily our ranger was as “game” as we were to spend as much time as possible out in the bush.
The beautiful lodge and the spectacular bush surroundings just added to our experience of the most memorable safari holiday!
